Amongst a blizzard of news from CSJ users about their fabulous wins in various dog sports, Ceri Rundle is also competing with her exciting young bitch Patch.

After years spent concentrating on establishing CSJ’s natural food and supplements Ceri has finally found time to also return to her beloved Sheepdog Trials, where she is respected worldwide for her numerous successes including being the first ever lady to appear on the BBC programme One Man and His Dog.

It’s not surprising it’s her favourite activity – she was born on a working sheep farm and grew up watching and learning from her hugely successful father, H. Glyn Jones, seen here after winning the most coveted title of all … International Sheepdog Champion at the 1973 Championship held in Bala, with a young Ceri handing him the trophy.

Ceri says that Patch (Llangwm Patch) was clearly too good to just work on the farm and the growing bond between them made it an easy decision to return to the sport.

She said: “The competition is huge and I’m the one making mistakes, not my dog! However, Patch is making me proud and gaining experience at every trial whilst I’m relearning things that I’d clearly forgotten!

"Here we are having a strategy chat during a trial on the Isle of Bute.”
