Qualified veterinary nurse Rachel Bean will appear at the Birmingham NEC show on Sunday (March 13) to give a demonstration of canine first aid.
Rachel, who wrote the iPET Network's Ofqual regulated qualification in the subject and has travelled all over the world teaching the techniques, said: "I can't wait to show people the basics of canine first aid at Crufts.
"Crufts is all about dogs and you wouldn't attend unless you really loved your dog, so I think we will have a captive audience of eager learners at our event."
Alongside the likes of the RSPCA and the Street Paws charity, Rachel is showing her support for the national Safe Pets and People campaign, which is calling for mandatory first aid qualifications for all UK pet professionals.
On the day visitors to Crufts will be invited to sign a petition calling for the Government to take action.
Rachel, who will be on the Cambridge Institute of Dog Training and Behavior stand throughout the event, added: "Safe Pets and People is so important. I don't think a lot of pet owners realise that the dog walker, groomer or pet sitter at the moment do not have to know what to do in an emergency.
"We believe that this should change, and it's not expensive to get the skills you need."
The Crufts event takes place at the iPET Network stand in the NEC's Hall Five from 11am.
Rachel will be joined at the event by demonstration dogs who have been rescued by the NoToDogMeat charity.
