Pedigree Wholesale appoints new head of operations

Pedigree Wholesale has announced the appointment of Wayne Kinton as its new head of operations.

Wayne brings a wealth of experience across multiple companies, including DHL and Rank Hovis McDougall. Beginning his career as an Army Driver, Wayne has moved through several avenues of operations since he was 15 years old. From driving mixers all the way through to roles such as Warehouse Picker, Project Manager, to Lead Logistics Provider and Operations Director. Wayne is experienced in bettering productivity and operational success by developing and encouraging different processes.

Wayne views staff engagement as one of the primary keys to success, passionate people who love what they do are vital for any company, and Wayne is no different from this himself. Wayne’s key to motivation is to challenge ‘the norm’ and positively look for change and welcome it as a means to progress.

Wayne said: “I thrive on the opportunity to influence change; all I want to do is be better than I was yesterday.

"Joining  Pedigree Wholesale after an expansive career across several roles in operations was like coming home, the growth and journey ahead of the company is very exciting, and I’m thrilled to be part of that journey.”

Gerard O’Mahony, managing director of Pedigree Wholesale, said: “Operations is the backbone of our business and improving our offering, to better serve our customers is a key focus for us in 2022 and beyond. Wayne brings with him a vast amount of experience that will prove instrumental in strengthening our operations, building for our future and ensuring we fulfil our Wholesaler of Choice commitment to our customers. We wish him all the success in his new role."
