Burgess Pet Care welcomes Rob Taylor as sales director

Burgess Pet Care has appointed Rob Taylor to the role of sales director, reflecting the company’s ambitious growth plans.

With a wealth of experience in the food sector covering multi-temperature categories and channels, Rob joins Burgess from Hilltop Honey where he led the sales team and boosted their market presence and share.

In his new role, Rob will lead Burgess’ sales function and develop and implement sales strategies which build on the company’s focus of delivering the highest quality ingredients, whilst enhancing relationships with key stakeholders and customers across the sector.

Rob Taylor said: “Joining Burgess Pet Care is a fantastic opportunity, and I am excited to contribute to its long history of providing quality, excellence, and outstanding customer service. Being a huge animal lover – we have two rescue cats and a labrador – I am keen to work with products developed only with the best interests of our pets in mind.

“Burgess has shown its commitment to “Care More” through its leading welfare campaigns such as Rabbit Awareness Week and the forthcoming Greyhound & Lurcher Two-Week Takeover. I am looking forward to ensuring that Burgess’ “Care More” approach continues to be at the heart of everything we do whilst support and developing the work of our team.”

Mark Womersley, managing director at Burgess Pet Care, added: "We are delighted to welcome Rob to Burgess Pet Care. His industry knowledge and experience, along with his passion for responsible pet ownership and their health and wellbeing, means he is well placed to build on our market position and identify new opportunities to enable Burgess to thrive.”
