Pet brand steals show at London Toy Fair

Award-winning pop culture collectables brand Funko took the spotlight at London Toy Fair with a number of exclusive features, including a guest appearance from TV personality Michael McIntyre.

Visitors to the Funoo stand stand were treated to a fashion show full of furry friends, a reveal of Michael McIntyre’s new Funko Pop! alongside a guest appearance from the comedian himself, and premiere of new products across.

McIntyre said: “It’s been an amazing experience to become a Funko Pop and to see everyone’s reactions in person. There will be an opportunity for some lucky individuals to get their hands on it, so keep your eyes peeled as there’s more to come.”

Funko unveiled the new Backpacking Freddy Funko Pop – exclusive for European Funatics only through funkoeurope.com. The new addition to the Funko Pop! line is the second in a two-part series, following the launch of Travelling Freddy last October. Equipped with a signpost to show all the wonderful places Freddy has visited, and a special postcard that Freddy has written on his travels, the new addition to the brand is designed to inspire Funko fans to embark on travelling adventures of their own.

Following Bitty Pop!’s hugely successful launch in 2023, the Funko category will be further expanding with brand-new display cases later this year – allowing fans to proudly show off and house their Bitty Pop! collections.

Funko Chief Commercial Officer, Andy Oddie said: “It’s been a pleasure to see our industry friends and their reactions to Funko’s new innovations for 2024 across our Pop!, Bitty Pop!, Loungefly and Mondo categories. The warm reception and positive response has been brilliant to see.”
