A Buckinghamshire pet shop has developed an 'In Case of Emergency' (ICE) card for pets.

The credit card sized product details where pets are and other important information such as dietary requirements, allergies and the details of their local vet.

McGrumpy & Snuffles, in Aylesbury, is the pet shop behind the free ICE cards.

Owner Katy Martin said: "We are keen to give our customers the tools to be the best owners they can be and are really pleased to be able to make this card available for free.

"I believe it will play an important role by making emergency services aware when the holder potentially has unattended pets at home.

"A number of our customers have pets with long-term or complex health conditions, managed by diet or medication and by including this information, owners will have additional peace of mind."
