Jollyes launches Operation Cool Dog during heatwave

Jollyes launched Operation Cool Dog during record temperatures across the UK this week, urging shoppers to make sure their pets had a cool spot at home.

And for those that needed to venture out, the leading retail chain offered free doggy ice cream in all of its 80-plus stores.

Each store made sure outside water bowls remained full so dogs visiting Jollyes could hydrate in the face of very high temperatures.

The stores also carried a full range of Frozzy’s frozen yoghurt especially made for dogs in single tubs or multi-packs and in original, blueberry and strawberry.

In many stores too there were Alexander’s Natural Kefir Paws made with organic.

Sales of cooling products for dogs also surged as owners took extra care of their pets while temperatures rose.  From travel water bowls to cooling mats – Jollyes saw a ten-fold increase in sales of cooling products.
