Stafford PR consultant wins accolade for second year

A Public Relations consultant who specialises in work for pet industry has won a coveted industry award for the second year running. Tillymint Communications was crowned Independent Practitioner of the Year at the Midlands Pride Awards, run by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Judges were impressed how the company “met each challenge head on” and highlighted its “excellent growth and results for clients and planned delivery model”.

Winners were announced at a glitzy awards ceremony, at The Eastside Rooms, Birmingham, on Friday (17 November). Network television presenter Marverine Cole (Sky News, Good Morning Britain and This Morning) was MC for the event and 160 guests were in attendance.

The occasion also included a spectacular performance from the Midlands-based Lions of Punjab which led the audience in a Bhangra dance tuition session. The event was sponsored by Specialist Speakers and Pitch Consultants.

Tillymint’s founder, Alison Gallagher-Hughes, said: “It is such an achievement to be recognised by the industry for the second year running. As a Chartered member of the CIPR, I know first-hand how highly it sets the bar for communications professionals in respect of standards and ethics and I am delighted that the judges felt Tillymint worthy of this honour.”

Alison is a former journalist and communications expert who has worked in-house within policing, social housing and education and also as an agency account director. She launched Tillymint in October 2020.
