Beaphar take on the ultimate cycling challenge for charity

Ten colleagues from Beaphar are planning to cycle 175 miles over three days, to raise money for charity as part of the company's 75th Anniversary celebrations.

The cycle ride will start from the UK commercial office in Haverhill, Suffolk, on July 1 and finish at the head office in Raalte, Holland.

The team will be supported on the last 50 miles of the challenge by 12 of their Dutch colleagues, led by Beaphar’s owner and CEO, Henk Aa.

“It’s not every day a family-owned business celebrates 75 years in the pet industry," said Vicky Le Fanu (pictured), Marketing & Communications Executive.

"It’s a great achievement and therefore we felt it should be marked with a company challenge whilst raising money for a very good cause.

"We have chosen to raise money for Cancer Research, a charity which is very dear to many of the Beaphar Team."

The Beaphar 75th Anniversary Team, who collectively have been with Beaphar for over 75 years, are:

“Each year Beaphar drives new initiatives to raise money for charity, but this is the first time we have taken on a sporting challenge," said Sue Huggett, Business Manager.

"It shows great commitment and strength from a continuously growing business and we are very proud of the team who are taking part.

"It’s by no means an easy challenge and they have shown great dedication towards their training.

"Every donation, big or small has been greatly appreciated, please continue to support this fantastic cause and the Beaphar team."
