PetQuip and Gardenex to cease trading

The Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufacturers Limited incorporating Gardenex, PetQuip and the CHA will no longer be trading with immediate effect. Post pandemic it became increasingly clear that it was an uphill struggle to get the Federation on a firm financial footing to continue to offer a value service to members.
The Federation team have worked tirelessly to improve the situation and to continue to provide export advice and services to British businesses. However, the perfect storm of Brexit, the pandemic and President Trump’s market disruptions have made that task extremely difficult. The Federation has lost all semblance of financial support from the government over the years which has had a detrimental effect on many British businesses in our sector who want to explore exporting options.
Certain industry leading lights stepped up to join as Patron members paying more than their share to try to assist. Their support was invaluable over the last 6 months.
Exhibition bookings made through PetQuip for Interzoo 2026 will now be handled directly by the Interzoo show organiser and any company deposits and payments have been passed to Interzoo. Bookings are safe and exhibitors will be contacted by the show organiser in due course. They will receive a separate email shortly with contact details and further information.
For the future, Prairie Limited will be working closely with Interzoo in order to offer the UK pet sector overseas exhibition services going forwards. They will also be taking over the operation and delivery of the annual PetQuip Awards which will be renamed The Pet Excellence Awards. GIMA will be offering a new export member service, providing exporting support to their members. Gardenex members will be contacted shortly so that the remaining term of their membership will be transferred to GIMA.
This is a very sad day for the industry. Gardenex, PetQuip and the CHA have been stalwarts of their relative sectors helping hundreds (if not thousands) of businesses to generate millions in export income for the UK over the years. The Federation Team wish all the members every success in their businesses.

The prestigious PetQuip Awards have been renamed The Pet Excellence Awards following news that the trade association has ceased to exist.
The awards will now be run by a company called Prairie Ltd, who will also be working closely with Interzoo in order to offer the UK pet sector overseas exhibition services going forwards.
Not much is known about Prairie Ltd but it’s understood the company will be announcing its plans shortly.
The PetQuip Awards were launched in 2014 and have been running alongside PATS ever since.

The Pet Industry Federation has issued a statement saying it was sorry to hear the news that Gardenex, PetQuip and the CHA would no longer be trading. PIF said these organisations had made a valuable contribution to their sectors over many years, particularly in supporting UK businesses with exports and overseas trade.
PIF added: “For many pet businesses, this announcement will understandably raise questions about export support, regulation and access to international markets, at a time when trading internationally continues to be challenging.
“Over the coming weeks, PIF will be speaking to members and industry partners to better understand where additional guidance, signposting or representation may be helpful, particularly in relation to regulatory and compliance matters.
“PIF remains focused on supporting UK pet businesses to operate responsibly, adapt to change and plan with confidence for the future and will continue to work collaboratively with partners across the sector to ensure businesses feel supported during this period.”

The Squeezy Reward from My Anxious Dog has been awarded TDTS Recommended Product status after being tested by a panel of over 30 dog professionals.
The Dog Trainer School (TDTS) provides independent testing and trainer-led recommendations, with products only earning the badge if they prove to be genuinely useful.
The Squeezy Reward was given a score of 92% – one of the highest scores since the launch of the ‘Good Housekeeping for Dog Products’ scheme last November.

Helen Wainwright from The Dog Trainer School said: “Trainers consistently reported that the Squeezy Reward is easier to carry and cleaner than traditional treat delivery.
“It was especially effective in moments where calm licking supports emotional regulation, focus, and safer reinforcement – including with muzzled dogs or while on the move.
“The retractable reel and flat licking surface were standout features, and the simple-to-clean tube made it ideal for daily use.”
Dog trainers described it as a practical and reliable alternative to traditional treat bags, especially for dogs who benefit from calm licking as a form of reinforcement or regulation.
Feedback from the trial included how easy it was to grab and use, even during high-pressure moments. Trainers praised the retractable reel, simple flip-lid design, and the ease of cleaning the tube, which can be filled with any soft food or paste to suit the dog’s individual needs.
The Squeezy Reward came about as Sarah, founder of My Anxious Dog, wanted a better way to reward and distract Bella, her nervous Cocker Spaniel who inspired the brand.

Originally using Primula Cheese in the tube Sarah found herself constantly fumbling to get it out of her pocket and then getting the lid off, so she added a retractable reel and lanyard to make it quick and easy to deploy.
“You want the reward quickly,” she said. “All you need to do is flip the lid open and you can reward and distract in seconds. Because I use it for Bella, I know it's really good. We tried it with the dogs at the dog shows and festivals and they didn't take long to recognise that there’s something good in that little device. We’ve had lots of happy customers, and to have the approval of the Dog Trainer School is amazing.”

Here’s what the testers had to say:
- “Perfect for dogs who inhale treats.”
- “Found the reel handy and easy to grab and manoeuvre rather than fumble around for a treat bag.”
- “It’s been a game changer for my young, over-excited terrier. It gives us a moment to pause and calm down with some soothing licking.”
- “It’s brilliant for dogs with dietary requirements because I can fill it with whatever works for them.”
- “Perfect for a dog who wears a muzzle.”
- “It means my hands stay slobber free and my fingers don’t get nipped.”
- “Easy to keep clean.”
Protected by a registered design with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), the Squeezy Reward offers an innovative solution that’s ideal for a wide range of training and behaviour needs. Designed with both practicality and versatility in mind, it’s a trusted tool for professionals and pet owners alike.

Beloved Petz, the trusted British pet wellness brand known for its honest, effective, and pet‑friendly grooming solutions, has unveiled two new products designed to tackle one of the most common cosmetic challenges faced by dog owners: tear stains.
Be:Clear Tear Stain Balm and Be:Clear Tear Stain Minerals provide an innovative dual‑solution system that works from the outside in and inside out to restore a pet’s natural glow.

The Be:Clear Tear Stain Balm is a soothing topical treatment made with a protected and unique blend of gentle, plant‑based ingredients that nourish delicate skin around the eyes while helping to reduce discolouration.
The balm is packed with natural oils and waxes to create a protective barrier, making it perfect for dogs prone to irritation or staining, especially breeds with lighter coats. Easy to apply, it offers groomers and owners a clean, effective way to promote eye‑area hygiene without harsh chemicals or synthetic additives.

Working from within, the Be:Clear Tear Stain Minerals support healthy tear production and balanced gut function. These mineral rocks naturally reduce the formation of tear stains at the source. By focusing on digestive and immune health, Be:Clear Tear Stain Minerals complement the Balm perfectly, creating a comprehensive regime for visible, lasting results.
A win for retailers too
- High repeat purchase potential – Ideal for ongoing pet care, ensuring steady customer return.
- Eye‑catching on‑shelf presentation – Premium, eco‑friendly packaging that reflects modern pet owner values.
- Complementary product duo – Encourages cross‑selling opportunities between grooming and nutrition.
- British‑made quality – Trusted manufacturing standards and transparent ingredient sourcing, keeping confidence high at the point of sale.
For retailers, the Be:Clear range offers strong commercial appeal. With the UK pet care market continuing its upward growth trajectory – particularly in the natural health and grooming sectors – the Be:Clear range offers retailers a strong commercial opportunity.
Both the Balm and Minerals products provide excellent margin potential thanks to their premium positioning and repeat‑purchase nature. Their compact, attractive packaging makes them ideal for impulse‑buy displays near grooming or supplement sections, while the cohesive branding encourages cross‑category merchandising. With consumer demand rising for clean‑label, British‑made pet wellness products that deliver visible results, Be:Clear helps retailers capture higher basket value and strengthen customer loyalty across grooming and nutrition categories.
Beloved Petz’ Managing Director, Carina Evans, said: “We created the Be:Clear range to give pet owners safe, natural and genuinely effective solutions for tear stains. Retailers are seeing increasing demand for clean, dual‑action wellbeing products, and this range perfectly fits that growing market.”
The new Be:Clear products are now available for trade orders. Retailers interested in stocking the range or receiving POS materials can contact Carina Evans and her team directly at carinaevans@podiumpetproducts.com.

Three pet care startup companies – Scooch (39th), Grub Club Pets (73rd) and Pet Proov (75th) – have been recognised in the prestigious Startups 100 Index of new businesses.

Scooch is a pet wellness platform, offering owners personalised advice, vet-approved products, and tools to keep furry friends feeling their best. The subscription-based platform offers AI-powered animal healthcare through personalised health checks and care plans, and access to qualified vets for help and support.
Founder Baris Ozaydinli said the awards “validated Scooch not only as a pet brand but as a technology company transforming pet health.”

Grub Club makes pet food made with insect protein, delivering hypoallergenic, gut-friendly nutrition that is also kinder to the planet.
“We found that each dog switching to Grub Club from a meat-based diet can save 1.5 tonnes of CO2eq. emissions per year,” said founders Alessandro Di Trapani and Hugh Petit. “If just one percent of the UK’s 12 million dogs made the switch, that’s 180,000 tonnes of CO2eq. saved, which is the equivalent of 75,000 homes’ annual electricity usage.”

PetProov is the UK’s first pet verification platform, using government-grade technology to ensure our animal friends go to safe, loving homes. Founders Kate Margolis and Garry Clarke said: “Our goal is to make identity and welfare checks as normal in pet ownership as they are in banking – a simple step that everyone expects and relies on”.
Now in its 18th year, the Startups 100 is the definitive list of the most promising new UK businesses.

Through these partnerships, Animal Friends aims to create a powerful, long-term platform that elevates animal welfare across the UK and globally - ensuring wildlife receive the protection, care and advocacy they deserve. In addition to the three charity partnerships, Animal Friends dedicated emergency funding will continue to provide fast support and funds to charities facing urgent and unforeseen circumstances.
Animal Friends will work with Blue Cross, a charity that has supported sick, injured and homeless pets since 1897, to help fund and promote its dedicated Pet Loss Service. This partnership will support people struggling to cope with the loss of a much-loved pet, alongside a range of other vital core initiatives over the coming years. Together, they aim to support both pets and people in need, while reinforcing Animal Friends’ commitment to championing animal welfare.
Chris Burghes, CEO at Blue Cross, said: “There has never been a more pivotal moment for pet owners and animal welfare than now. This collaboration with Animal Friends allows us to reach even more people and pets with the practical, emotional and veterinary support they need, while strengthening the policy work that protects animals across the UK. Together, we can continue ensuring pets enjoy healthy, happy lives - and that the people who care for them never feel alone.”
StreetVet, which provides free accessible veterinary care for pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness, will be supported by AFI to help deliver and scale StreetVet’s frontline outreach and veterinary support across the UK.
The partnership will shine a light on the importance of the profound human–animal bond between pets and their owners navigating homelessness together, while supporting StreetVet’s work across outreach locations, clinical care within partner veterinary practices, hostel and day centre accreditation programmes and wider policy engagement.
Zoe Abbotts, CEO at StreetVet, said: “Animal Friends’ support will make a profound difference to the pets and owners we meet every day at our outreach clinics, through our accredited hostel and day centre scheme or through pet owners experiencing homelessness reaching out for support and help from our clinical team. The bond between someone experiencing homelessness and their animal is often lifesaving, and our work depends on partnerships that understand and champion that connection. This long-term collaboration will help us deliver our vital services, deepen our impact and ensure that no pet in a vulnerable situation goes without the care they need and deserve.”

Born Free brings a vital global perspective through its work protecting wild animals, promoting ethical conservation and challenging the exploitation of wild animals. Together, AFI and Born Free will champion key areas of wildlife legislation, deepen public understanding of welfare issues and support programmes in regions including Cameroon, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Will Travers OBE, Executive President of the Born Free Foundation said, “At Born Free, collaboration has always been at the heart of our mission to ensure a better, more compassionate world for animals. That’s why I am immensely proud to announce our new three-year partnership with Animal Friends, a company that shares our deep commitment to protecting wildlife and improving animal welfare everywhere.
Together, we will combine our expertise, resources, and passion to deliver real and lasting impact, from stewarding vital conservation projects and championing ethical tourism, to advocating for stronger animal protection laws and greater awareness of the challenges animals face every day.
This partnership reflects a shared vision; one where people and wildlife co-exist in harmony, where compassion and action go hand in hand. By uniting our voices and our efforts, Born Free and Animal Friends can help create a brighter, safer future for wild animals and the natural world they call home.”
Richard Mills, CEO at Animal Friends Insurance, said: “Animal Friends is proud to give back to animal and conservation charities everywhere. We believe that every animal deserves a happy and healthy life, and by committing long-term funding, support and advocacy to our three partners, we are committed to creating meaningful and lasting change. We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside three charities whose values so strongly reflect our own and those of our customers.”

Direct4Pet supports Pet Dental Health Month
Direct4Pet, one of the country’s largest online veterinary approved pet retailers, is backing Pet Dental Health Month which is being held this February, by offering advice to dog and cat owners on how to look after their pets’ teeth...

Direct4Pet, one of the country’s largest online veterinary approved pet retailers, is backing Pet Dental Health Month which is being held this February, by offering advice to dog and cat owners on how to look after their pets’ teeth.
Garry Howard, Director of Direct4Pet says: “Looking after your dog or cat’s teeth is essential for their overall health, as dental disease can lead to pain, infections, and even organ damage. Pet Dental Health Month gives us the opportunity to give advice to pet parents by giving them a number of practical steps that they can take to care for their pet companions’ teeth.”
The most effective method of dental care is regular, ideally daily, brushing with pet-safe toothpaste (do not use human toothpaste) and a soft-bristled toothbrush or finger brush. Start slowly by letting your pet lick it off your finger, gently rub onto their teeth before you start introducing a brush. Focus on the outer surfaces of the teeth where plaque builds up. There are also a number of specialist plaque removal products on the market as well which come in sprays and gels.
Feeding an appropriate diet can also help to prevent dental problems. Feeding natural ingredients with no artificial preservatives or colourings can help to prevent the build-up of plaque. There are also a number of specific dental diets as well which come in kibble format. These are deigned to mechanically scrub teeth as your pet chews.
Natural dog treats are the best to feed your pets along with veterinary approved dental chews. Fish treats are not only low in fat but are also good for your pets particularly dried or dehydrated fish skins because of their unique physical texture and natural properties. They act as a natural, healthy alternative to artificial dental chews, helping to maintain oral hygiene. The rough, chewy, and dried texture of fish skins scrapes against a pet's teeth as they chew. This mechanical action helps to remove plaque and reduce tartar buildup, promoting cleaner teeth and healthier gums. The action of chewing on these tough treats increases saliva flow, which acts as a natural cleanser that breaks down food particles and reduces bacterial growth in the mouth. Fish treats are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and help reduce inflammation. Regular chewing can prevent gum inflammation and reduce the risk of periodontal disease. Unlike processed rawhide, high-quality fish treats are typically 100% natural, making them easy to digest. By reducing the bacterial buildup and plaque that cause odours, these treats help to improve pet breath over time.

There is no substitute of course for regular veterinary dental check-ups which should take place at least once a year. Even with good home care, professional cleaning under general anaesthetic is often necessary to clean below the gumline and remove stubborn tartar.
If you notice any of these signs, contact your vet, as they may indicate painful dental disease:
- Extremely bad breath
- Yellow or brown buildup on the teeth (tartar)
- Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
- Dropping food or difficulty eating
- Pawing at the mouth or face
- Loose or missing teeth
By starting a dental routine early, you can help prevent pain and serious health issues for your pet.
As a UK-based, RCVS-registered veterinary pharmacy and pet-care retailer, Direct4Pet provides a full range of products — prescription medicines, food, supplements, accessories and everyday essentials — all overseen by qualified veterinary professionals. Products to cater for these needs can be found on their online store.

IVC Evidensia has announced a major £500,000 investment to advance sustainable anaesthesia in its UK veterinary practices.
The initiative ensures every practice in the UK network now has access to essential equipment, such as capnography and multiparameter monitors, enabling safe adoption of low-flow anaesthesia techniques.
Emissions from anaesthetic procedures account for around 30% of the carbon emissions of a typical veterinary practice. Low-flow anaesthesia minimises the amount of fresh gas and anaesthetic agent used during procedures, reducing environmental impact while maintaining or improving patient safety.
Alongside this, IVC Evidensia has rolled out comprehensive training, including bite-size e-learning, face-to-face sessions, and digital resources, empowering veterinary teams to lead change and improve patient care. A ‘low-flow anaesthesia’ Care Framework has accompanied the launch, and further training will be launched over the coming year to support the behavioural change programme. Practices will be able to track progress with an anaesthesia carbon data dashboard.
Working in partnership with Burtons, which produces vet equipment including vet anaesthesia equipment, almost 500 pieces of new equipment have been distributed to IVC Evidensia practices in the UK and thousands of clinicians have downloaded the digital training and resources.
The approach is designed to overcome three main barriers to adoption: awareness, equipment availability and clinical confidence, with a focus on empowering Reigstered Veterinary Nurses and supporting change management at a practice level, to help deliver lasting change.
Early indications show a reduction in anaesthetic agent and oxygen use, contributing to both environmental sustainability and improved patient care.
Richard Hooker, Country Medical Director said: “By investing in state-of-the-art equipment, comprehensive training, and ongoing support, we are empowering our teams to deliver sustainable anaesthesia with confidence and safety. This commitment ensures we continue to provide the highest standard of care for our patients.”
Sarah Heath, Group Sustainability Director at IVC Evidensia, added: “This initiative is a win for our patients, our people, and the planet. It highlights our dedication to driving positive change across the veterinary profession and sets a benchmark for sustainability in clinical practice.”
The project is designed to be shared with the wider veterinary profession, encouraging others to adopt similar approaches for the benefit of patients, the planet, and the profession.

A leading independent retailers association has welcomed the government's £150 million investment in high streets but warned that the funding could be undermined without fundamental business rates reform.
The British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) said the investment was encouraging and aligned with recent research showing communities want to take pride in their high streets.
Andrew Goodacre, CEO of Bira, said: "We welcome this £150 million investment in high streets. Recent research from Southampton University fully supports our belief that people want to be proud of their high streets, and we're pleased to see the government listening to communities.
"It's particularly encouraging that spending decisions will be determined by local people, and we hope local businesses will be involved in those decisions. Investment in the public realm, facilities, accessibility and property will all be crucial. We'd also like to see historic independent retail businesses, often operating in historic buildings, receive support to share their stories with the wider community."
However, Mr Goodacre warned that physical improvements alone would not revive high streets without addressing the tax burden on businesses.
He added: "For this expenditure to deliver lasting change, we need viable businesses on our high streets meeting customer needs. The harsh reality is that this substantial investment could be completely undermined by the burden of ever-increasing business rates forcing high street businesses to close, whilst preferential treatment is given to retail parks and large online giants.
"Restoring shopfronts and opening empty units is pointless if the tax system continues to penalise the very businesses we're trying to support. We urge the government to ensure its upcoming High Streets Strategy includes fundamental business rates reform to create a level playing field for independent retailers."
Bira, which works with over 6,000 independent retailers across the UK, campaigns for business rates reform, action on retail crime and support for high street businesses.

Two entrepreneurial brothers are getting ready to open their fifth pet store in Edinburgh. It will be their largest yet and the first one to be located on a retail park.
Craig and Ross Davidson have taken over the keys to the new outlet at Park Grove Shopping Centre on Queensferry Road, and hope to open the store next month.
It has been a remarkable journey for the brothers, who took over a struggling pet shop from their family just over 10 years ago. After quickly turning fortunes around at the original store, they set about building their Dofos empire, opening three other outlets in the city.
“We’ve learned a lot of things along the way, and it has been hard at times,” admitted Craig. “But we are really excited about launching our fifth store – our biggest yet.”
Dofos – short for Dog Foods Ltd – was started by Craig and Ross’ grandmother before being taken over by their mother. The brothers helped out in the shop where they got their first taste of pet retailing.
And when the shop got into financial difficulty, they decided to take the plunge and take over the business. Being health conscious, the brothers decided to focus on pet foods with high meat content and superior nutrition. As Craig said: “Our goal is simple: to offer the highest quality pet food on the market.”
The fifth shop will be their largest store to date, with seven grooming tables set to be fitted within the unit. It will join their portfolio of shops in Stockbridge, Leith, Portobello and Gyle.

Craig admitted that moving into the retail park space was the next step in their evolution as trading on city high streets was becoming harder.
“High streets are becoming hard to trade in, parking is expensive, you have cycle paths being fitted everywhere and it is difficult.
“We are proud of what we’ve achieved. We now employ 40 staff, and we feel it’s our duty to make them feel a part of something special.”

A pet superstore, which opened in Sunderland four-and-a-half years ago, closed at the weekend, telling customers the decision was made due to ‘unfortunate circumstances’.
In a post on its Facebook page, the Pet Superstore said: “We will be transferring over to our Jarrow store 10 minutes away where all orders and loyalty programs will be honoured.
“Once again, thank you all for shopping with us and being a part of our shop, we hope to see you in Jarrow.”

The Pet Industry Federation hosted a highly successful executive briefing for members, bringing together expert insight, practical data and senior-level discussion on the future of the pet sector.
Held at Mintel House in London, the event focused on The Future of the Pet Sector 2026 and featured presentations from consumer research agency Mintel and digital strategy specialists Herd. Attendees heard fresh analysis on evolving consumer behaviour, product innovation, sustainability, digital commerce and the strategic challenges and opportunities facing pet businesses in the years ahead.
The session also provided valuable networking opportunities, allowing senior leaders from across the sector to connect, share perspectives and discuss how emerging trends are shaping their businesses.

The briefing was free to attend for PIF members and forms part of PIF’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality insight, support and engagement opportunities for the industry.
Nigel Baker, CEO of the Pet Industry Federation, said: “This was a really strong session with excellent engagement from our members. The quality of insight from Mintel and Herd was first-class and the discussion that followed showed just how valuable these events are for helping businesses to learn more about our ever evolving pet owner landscape and to think and plan ahead. Providing free access to this level of insight is a key part of what PIF offers its members.”
Bhavin Gore, Solutions Expert at Mintel, added: “It was great to work with PIF on this briefing and to see such strong interest from across the pet sector. The conversations in the room showed how important it is for businesses to understand changing consumer expectations and use data to inform future strategy.”

Pets at Home focusses on retail sales growth

Pets at Home claims it is focussing on future sales growth after reporting that consumer revenue was down 1.1% in its recent trading statement.
Ian Burke, the group’s Interim Executive Chair, said: “Our dedicated pet care colleagues and veterinary partners helped us to deliver a solid Q3 performance, which will enable us to achieve an FY26 underlying PBT outcome in line with consensus expectations.
"I'm pleased to report continued strong performance in our Vet business and sequential improvement in Retail, as we continue to implement our Retail Turnaround Plan. One of our key early actions as part of this plan included investing in our customer offer, reducing the price of over 1,000 products by an average of 12%, ensuring our customers know they can trust us to provide great value for them and their pets.
"With a new CEO and CFO joining in spring, our focus for the remainder of the year is on building momentum behind our four turnaround plan priorities of Price, Product, Cost and Execution, to deliver our FY26 plan and to return our Retail business to sustainable sales and profit growth.”
Here’s a summary of the group’s 12-week trading period to 1st January:
Group consumer revenue up by 0.8% to £472m.
- Vet Group consumer revenue up 5.0%, performance was in line with our expectations, with growth supported by average transaction values and growth in Care Plan revenues and plans.
- Retail consumer revenue down 1.1% included positive volume growth across food and accessories. Q3 saw sequential improvement in growth during a period where we invested in our relative price position. Online remains the fastest growing channel, delivering low teens growth throughout the quarter.
Total Group statutory revenue down 1.0% to £358m, with Group like-for-like2 (LFL) revenue down 0.7%.
Q3 retail transactions were broadly flat. This is currently a better underlying indicator of our customer health than Pet Club members which dropped 6.9% to 7.6m in part due to a change in methodology9, which has also had a corresponding positive impact on Average Consumer Value.
Retail consumer satisfaction remains high, increasing +3pts vs Q3 last year led by improvements in value for money, colleague service and availability.
Subscription sales remained in strong growth, now representing 15.0% of our consumer revenues. 5% of Pets Club members now have an Easy Repeat subscription, with more than 50% of Vet clients having a Care Plan.
Vet expansion plans on track, with 10 new practices and 15 vet extensions to be delivered in FY26.
Current trading and outlook: Q3 fell within the range of our expectations and we expect to deliver FY26 underlying PBT in line with current consensus.

Discount retailer Home Bargains is reporting soaring sales of its £5 pet wellness supplement Wag and Whisker Joint Care.
The group, which has over 600 stores nationwide, said the science-backed formulas were designed to support skin and coats, joints, and calming care for nervous pets
As well as seeing the product fly off the shelves Home Bargains reported that social media was full of delighted owners sharing stories of once-sluggish dogs getting their zoomies back and senior cats reclaiming the windowsill.
One shopper said their pooch was “moving like a pup again” after just a couple of weeks on the glucosamine-packed treats.
“You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but you can certainly give them a boost to their hips,” said Gary Harding, 38, dad dog to 8-year-old Nala.
“Pets are part of our family, so why shouldn’t they be taking wellness supplements like we do?”
Meanwhile, cat mum Hannah Ferrer reckons her tomcat 'Ron is starting to act like a human'.
