The UK’s happiest celebration of guinea pigs is heading to Suffolk this summer as HayPigs! joins forces with Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park to host Piggy Fest – Guinea Pig Festival on Saturday 25th July.
Supreme Petfoods is the headline sponsor of the event, alongside a host of fellow guinea pig-loving brands, including Guinea Pig Magazine, Little One, Burgess Excel, Natural Nibbles, Piggie Parcels and Rosewood Pet.
Bringing together guinea pig fans from far and wide, Piggy Fest promises a jam-packed day of family fun, educational animal encounters, shopping, entertainment and unforgettable piggy moments - all dedicated to one of the nation’s most-loved small pets.
According to UK Pet Food, there are an estimated 700,000 pet guinea pigs in the UK, with around 1.2% of UK households owning at least one.
Set against the backdrop of one of Suffolk’s best-loved attractions, the event is expected to welcome families, pet lovers and devoted guinea pig parents alike for what promises to be the cutest - and squeakiest - festival of the summer.
Highlights planned for the day include:
- Meet familiar faces from social media and the brands you love
- Expert talks and care advice
- Family entertainment and activities
- Special guest appearances
- Shopping from leading pet brands and independents
- Competitions and giveaways
- Social-media-friendly photo opportunities throughout the venue
- Explore Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park with over 100 species and breeds. Home to Europe’s largest polar bear reserve, brown bears, big cats and more

The festival also celebrates the growing popularity of guinea pigs as companion animals, while championing responsible pet ownership and the happiness small pets bring to families across the UK. It will also support Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park's ongoing commitment to animal education, helping visitors learn more about guinea pig welfare, enrichment and responsible ownership.
Influencers and content creators from across the pet world will be joining the fun, with live social coverage throughout the day and plenty of opportunities for visitors to share their own guinea pig stories, photos and favourite Piggy Fest memories online.
There will be no public guinea pig handling in the Piggy Fest Festival area for welfare reasons - but visitors will be able to follow a family friendly trail to Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park’s famous Guinea Pig Village to see the resident guineas in their large, safe enclosure - featuring a pub, corner shop, café, church and nail bar!

Claire Hamblion-Jennings, Marketing Director at event sponsor, Supreme Petfoods says: “If you love guinea pigs, this is your Latitude! Piggy Fest celebrates the special role these little pets play in family life, bringing together pet lovers, experts, brands and the wider guinea pig community for a day that promises plenty of fun.”
HayPigs! Co-founder ‘The Guinea Pig Guy’, Rik Cridland added: “We wanted to create something that feels joyful, welcoming and a little bit bonkers in the best possible way! Piggy Fest is all about celebrating the wonderful world of guinea pigs and the people who love them - expect cute moments, happy chaos, brilliant people and lots and lots of piggy themed fun!”
Stevie Sheppard, Park Director at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, says: “We’re delighted to be hosting Piggy Fest and supporting fantastic partners like HayPigs! and Supreme Petfoods, who share our passion for animal welfare and education. The event is a great opportunity to celebrate guinea pigs while helping visitors learn more about their care and wellbeing. We hope to inspire greater understanding of these remarkable little animals and encourage responsible pet ownership for years to come.”
