The UK’s Spring pet industry exhibition is just days away

Visitors and exhibitors alike are excitedly preparing for the UK’s Spring Pet Industry Exhibition, which opens its doors this Sunday and Monday.

PATS Sandown takes place from 9-10 February, with 150 companies and brands showcasing hundreds of new products.

PATS always attracts large numbers of dedicated buyers from both the UK and overseas, and this year offers even more opportunities for business. All the big players in the industry will be in attendance, as well as many newer or smaller companies hoping to catch the eye with innovative products. There is something for everyone.

Other highlights include the New Product Showcase and the ever-popular expert seminars and demonstrations from leading figures in the pet and grooming industries – a great opportunity to discover some useful trade secrets.

It will be the second time the event has taken place on a Sunday and Monday in February following a highly successful move to the earlier date in 2019.

“There has been a tremendous amount of work going on behind the scenes to make sure that PATS Sandown delivers the widest range of exhibitors, new products, seminars from experts and grooming demonstrations…all under one roof,” said organiser Gordon Thomas.

“There is so much to see and do inside the exhibition halls I would advise visitors to arrive early at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey – the show opens on both days at 9.30am. We can’t wait to greet everyone.”

The New Product Showcase, sponsored by pbwnews, is a great opportunity for visiting retailers to see and touch the new products they will be stocking for the coming season.

A record number of more than 200 entries to the Showcase will judged by a panel of retailers for the New Product Awards on the first morning of the show, so the results will be known and highlighted throughout the Surrey and Esher Halls for the rest of the exhibition.

There will also be a full programme of free retailer-focused seminars, sponsored by Pet Product Marketing and produced in association with Pedigree Wholesale. A wide range of topics will be covered, including: how to make customer loyalty the driving force of your business; helping cats and dogs to thrive will help your business to thrive; using calendar events in 2020 to drive sales; how to increase footfall by stocking raw foods; and how retailers can dominate the market and smash the competition.

The PATS Grooming Workshops, in association with the Welsh Grooming Academy, will feature state-of-the-art demonstrations from leading names in the industry, and this year sees the launch of a new competition called ‘Groom-Off Sunday’, offering 16 budding groomers the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

To help make the visitor experience even more enjoyable and rewarding, both the Surrey and Esher Halls have their own entrances and registration points, with visitors benefitting from free show entry, free parking, a free catalogue and many special offers.

There will also be a wide range of food available from all the various outlets and visitors will receive a free cup of tea or coffee voucher, which will be redeemable all day.
