Jollyes opens its 90th store in the UK

Nationwide pet retailer Jollyes opened its first Warrington store – its 90th in the UK – on Saturday (May 27).

The store, at Unit 1, Winwick Road, Warrington, WA2 8HQ was officially opened by Ted and Chewy, two alpacas from Woodland Alpaca Farm in Thelwall who run regular educational walks to teach about Alpaca farming in support of Guillain-Barre Syndrome charity, Gain.

Joining the Jollyes team was a very special guest – the real Felix the Cat mascot who also helped open the store.

Jollyes also launched its “Jumbo Pet” – a giant airship featuring a dog and cat raised 150ft to tell Warrington that the store had opened.

The first 100 customers received a free goody-bag and every customer over the weekend will have the chance to spin Jollyes’ iconic ‘Wheel of Fur-tune’ to win prizes.

The opening of the new Warrington store is part of Jollyes’ ambitious expansion plans which will see it hit £100 million turnover in FY2023, employ 1,000 colleagues this year and have 100 stores within 18 months.
