Appeal after guinea pigs dumped outside pet store

The Scottish SPCA have appealed to the public for information after two guinea pigs were abandoned outside a pet store in Falkirk.
The guinea pigs, named Fred and George by staff, were left outside the town’s Pets at Home on Saturday evening.
A spokesperson for the animal charity said they had been well looked after but did have overgrown claws.
Anyone found guilty of abandoning an animal can be banned from keeping them for life.
Scottish SPCA Inspector Louise Seddon said:“The man that dumped them outside the pet store had asked the staff to take them and was advised that he should call back in a couple of days when they would hopefully have space available.
“Instead of taking this advice, he left the store before returning to leave these guineas near the entrance where they could have very easily been attacked by dogs.
“Luckily, a staff member found the Guinea pigs and called us.”
