Pet companies sweep Lancashire’s Red Rose Awards

Group55 and Pets Choice are flying the flag for Lancashire based pet companies, having both been announced as winners at the recent Red Rose Awards.

Pets Choice received the ‘Manufacturing Business Award’, while Group55 won the ‘International Achievement Award’.

The Red Rose awards ceremony was held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on March 9.

Group55’s International Sales Manager, Martin Breen, commented “It is always fantastic to receive any award. However, to win an award such as this one which was open to companies of all sizes is a huge honour for a small business such as ourselves.

"To see Pets Choice win the Manufacturing Award is also pleasing and demonstrates the fantastic work being done by Lancashire based pet companies”.

Tony Raeburn, CEO of Pets Choice, said of the win: “It is great to see that pet businesses are being rewarded for their achievements within Lancashire, against some really great companies.

"Over the last few years we have put a lot of hard work into improving our manufacturing facilities and processes, from which we have seen huge growth. This award is a huge stride for us and demonstrates how far we have come as a business.”
