Naturo launches free meals for dogs initiative in pubs

Natural pet food company, Naturo has teamed up with an award-winning pub group Red Mist Leisure to launch a ‘DOG’S EAT FREE’ initiative across across Surrey and Hampshire.

The doggy menu of complimentary meals and baked treats for man’s best friend could be served across the country if the dining experiment by Naturo proves successful.

Red Mist Leisure is reaching out to four-legged visitors, offering a free doggy menu behind four of its bars across Surrey and Hampshire.

Owners wanting to give their pets a treat, can pick from the special ‘Dogs Eat Free’  menu, where 100 % natural, succulent salmon & rice with vegetables, delicious duck & rice with vegetables or lovely lamb & rice with vegetables will see doggy diners leaving the pub with a wagging tail.

Complimentary Naturo baked dog treats will also be available from the bar, where Fido can enjoy liver brownies and liver and cranberry biscotti.

Comments Claire McCann, Naturo brand manager: “For dogs around the country, a walk to the pub has long been rewarded with only a dish of water and the odd morsel from owner’s plates, but now they can tuck into a complimentary meal of their own a.

"A family walk is a great way to strengthen that special emotional connection with your dog, and stopping off at a pub to enjoy a drink and bite to eat is a great British institution.”

The canine menus will be on display on printed menus inside the pub and behind the bar, with the idea that dog walkers will treat their pets at the same time as ordering their own pub meal.

Comments, Red Mist Leisure MD, Mark Robson: “We pride ourselves on being dog friendly and welcoming well behaved dogs to our pubs. Many of our sites are located near popular walking routes and attract customers out to enjoy the countryside with their four-legged companions and we are confident our new complimentary doggy menu will be a huge hit with our customers and their dogs.

If the free trial at four of Red Mist Leisure’s pubs  (The Cock Inn - Headley Village, The Stag – Eashing, The Duke Of Cambridge – Tilford and The Exchequer – Church Crookham) is successful, the menus could be rolled out across the group’s other dog friendly pubs across Surrey and Hampshire.

Everything in the Naturo range is made with 100% natural ingredients and up to 60% high quality meat using predominantly Irish and British meats which are world-renowned for quality. The range contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and is wheat and gluten free.
