New site operations manager for pet food manufacturer

IPN Kinmel Park, home of The Real Petfood Company, has appointed Dominic Whelan to the new post of site operations manager.

Dominic joins from Molson Coors Brewing at Burton-upon-Trent which he joined in September 2015.  He has held various supply chain and production posts and was latterly Process Lead with shared responsibility for the delivery of some 2.75m bottles per month of top brands including Coors Light, Carling, Cobra and Doom Bar.  He was also in charge of developing and implementing a range of management systems to improve plant reliability.

Dominic, who is originally from Barnsley, is a big Sheffield Utd fan and used to play for Rotherham Academy.  He is delighted to be living and working in Wales as climbing Snowdon has always been on his bucket list.

James Lawson, managing director of The Real Petfood Company, said: “Dominic’s high level production experience will certainly prove an asset as we increase the range of pet food and snacks manufactured here.   He will also play a key role in driving our strategy to boost annual sales from their current level of some £11 million to more than £25 million over the next two years.”
