American firm Petco acquires digital services company PetCoach


American giant Petco has announced the acquisition of PetCoach, a digital services company that allows pet parents to directly source personalised answers from veterinary professionals. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

Brock Weatherup, PetCoach co-founder and CEO, will joint Petco has Executive VP of Strategic Innovation & Digital Experience. In this new role, Weatherup will be responsible for driving Petco’s growth through innovation and enterprise-wide, consumer-focused digital initiatives.

In recent years, Weatherup has been engaged in the Philadelphia startup community as an angel investor, mentor, and community leader, including serving as volunteer President of Philly Startup Leaders.

Previously, he was Senior VP and Chief Digital Offer at Petsmart after their purchase of Pet360, where he was Co-Founder/CEO for five years.
