Pet accessories firm launches Happy Pet Day 2026

Pet toy and accessories company Happy Pet is launching Happy Pet Day – a national day dedicated to recognising the happiness our pets bring us, and what we can do to return the feeling.

Happy Pet Day officially launches on the 27th September 2026 at this year's PATS with celebrations, exclusive deals, and new product launches across the Happy Pet range.

Among the highlights: new licensed ranges including Sonic the Hedgehog and Minions, alongside the toy box classics and comfort essentials pet parents already know and love  –  across dog, cat, small animal and reptile.

"Between 17 and 18 million households across the UK share their home with a pet. And the science backs up what pet parents have always known: pets bring us joy, they combat loneliness, and they've even been shown to help slow cognitive decline," said a Happy Pet spokesperson.

"At a time when anxiety and loneliness are at record highs, that matters more than ever. The bond between pets and their people isn't merely a fluffy line (excuse the pun) it’s medicine for modern lives full of stress. Happy Pet Day exists to celebrate that bond, and to give pets a little of the happiness back that they give us every single day."

Happy Pet Day will also mark 25 years for the business.
