PIF announces plans for new trade show

The Pet Industry Federation has announced the launch of a new trade show aimed at all pet businesses within the UK pet industry, including those within the pet services sector.

It builds on research that the Pet Industry Federation undertook with manufacturers and retailers which highlighted a desire to create more opportunities at a trade show to showcase activities and features which attract the full range of pet service businesses.

The new show will re-establish the name of Petindex, and is scheduled to take place on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 April 2020 at the Marshall Arena (Stadium MK) in Milton Keynes.

The Petindex show will have a strongly education focused theme, as well as providing opportunities for new and established manufacturers to meet a broad range of pet businesses from retailers, pet groomers; to brand influencers such as dog walkers to pet sitters, home boarders and boarding establishments. It will also incorporate the popular Pet Industry Federation Awards, as well as the 2020 British Dog Grooming Championship to bring a celebratory component of the event for every type of business.

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO said: "The Pet Industry Federation is at the heart of the UK’s pet industry, with our membership bringing together businesses from the whole industry in a way which no other UK organisation does. Our revitalised Petindex show will therefore provide a unique platform to unite the whole industry under one roof at one event, attracting a wide audience of pet professionals looking for more than just a trade show. All this at a fantastic, centrally located venue with on-site hotel and great road and rail access."

The show will feature:

  • Concurrent seminars and demonstrations aimed at all sectors
  • Extensive networking opportunities
  • The British Dog Grooming Championship
  • Trade stands
  • The PIF Awards

Petindex will include some fantastic sponsorship and trade stand opportunities to companies looking to open dialogue with a broad range of pet businesses that have strong brand influencing qualities.

A dedicated website will soon go live which will contain further information about the Petindex show: www.petindexshow.com
