Event in memory of gundog trainer and competitor Andy Cullen

The passing of trainer and competitor Andy Cullen in early May sent waves of sadness and shock throughout the gundog world and everyone who knew, loved and respected him.

To help and support his wife Tracy and his children through this incredibly difficult time a group of friends, sponsors and partners are holding a fundraising Working Gundog Test on Sunday 14th June.

Starting at 10am at the Barwhillanty Estate, Dumfriesshire and judged in accordance with KC rules there will be Novice and Open Spaniel, and Novice and Open Retriever Tests.

Prior email entry is needed by 5th June, for draw on 6th - see full details attached and https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10238045937221996&set=a.2673460910268

The fund-raising for Andy’s wife and children will also continue with a raffle on the day, an online auction and prize draw, plus a GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/975c3e9f3 for anyone who would like to donate.

Ceri Rundle of CSJ says, “Andy will be sorely missed by so many and our hearts go out to his wife and the children. Our relationship began back in 2007 when he modestly introduced himself and Tracy as a, “Small professional Gundog Training Business, however we are unique in the fact I have clients from all over the Uk and Europe that train with us.’

He believed in ‘Training all types of Gundogs for all types of People’.  A world-renowned handler, he gained numerous field trial awards and accolades including Gundog Trainer of The Year and representing Scotland at The Game Fair.  He successfully tutored his clients to similar achievements and there’s more to see at www.laochingundogs.com.

Ceri added, “The kennel name Laochin means ‘little heros’ in Gaelic … Andy Cullen and the Laochin Gundogs will continue to live in the memory of all whose life he touched.”
