Double delight for specialist pet PR company

A public relations agency which specialises in pet industry PR has been named as a finalist in two leading industry awards for the second year running.

Tillymint Communications has been shortlisted in the CIPR Excellence Awards and the Express & Star Business Awards (ESBA) for 2023 across four different categories.

These include Independent PR Practitioner of the year, Best Publication and Best Low Budget Campaign in the CIPR Excellence Awards - the industry's leading PR awards scheme which recognises “the phenomenal work of public relations practitioners around the globe”.

Tillymint has also been shortlisted in the Best Marketing Campaign category for ESBA regional business awards. The entries relate to work undertaken with the Pet Industry Federation and the launch of Karnlea Bone Broth.

Agency founder Alison Gallagher-Hughes said she was delighted that Tillymint’s work had been recognised and was indicative at how far the company had come in such a short time.

“Tillymint was founded during the Covid crisis and it was quite a challenge to start a company against such a dramatically changing landscape. Long term, this has meant organisations having to re-establish their credentials and convey their value to customers and we have helped them do that with results-driven activity to raise their profile and visibility,” she said.

She said that it was particularly special to be acknowledged by CIPR during its 75th celebratory year and by a media title for whom she once worked.

Tillymint now faces presentations and interviews with judging panels before the winners are decided and announced at gala nights in June.

In addition to being shortlisted in the same events last year, Tillymint also took a gold and two silver awards in the regional CIPR PRide Awards, in October 2022.
