Beast from the East causes Wild Bird Care sales uplift
Wild Bird Care was one sector of trading that saw an uplift during the recent wintry blast, according to a Bestsellers chart produced by Garden Trade News.
Where customers were able to get to shops, packs of feed flew off the shelves and 34 out of the Top 50 lines saw week on week sales increases.
Highlights were:
- Tom Chambers Sunflower Hearts 2.5kg saw the biggest percentage increase, up by 240% to re-enter at No 19.
- Westland Peckish Complete 2kg was just behind at plus 238%, re-entering at No 31.
- Gardman’s Gardman Winter Warmer 1.8kg is the highest new entry at No 40.
