Dobbies allows dogs in its 35 garden centres

In response to customer feedback Dobbies is allowing well behaved dogs access to its garden centres across the UK. The move came into force last Friday.

To ensure that a visit to its stores is enjoyable for everyone the company has created a Dog Friendly Policy.

The key points of ther policy are:

  • Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted in-store, except in the foodhall and indoor restaurant areas
  • Well behaved dogs are permitted in the outdoor patio areas of the restaurant
  • Assistance dogs are allowed in all areas
  • To ensure you and your dog have a pleasant visit to Dobbies each store will supply fresh drinking water at all times via a dedicated Dog Drinking Station
  • Should your dog foul on your visit to Dobbies it is the owner's responsibility to clean it up

Dobbies, which was recently sold by Tesco for £217 million, is the second biggest garden centre owner in the country with 35 stores.
