Webbox supports The Mirror’s Animal Hero Awards 2019

Leading pet food brand, Webbox, has signed up to be the official partner of The Mirror’s seventh-annual 2019 Animal Hero Awards.

The annual awards, taking place in London on Monday 30th September, celebrate inspiring examples of bravery, dedication and resilience in the animal world. Webbox will be joined by the world-renowned animal charity Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, who will once again be acting as charity partner, and the People’s Postcode Lottery who will be sponsoring the event for the first time and whose players have raised more than £57 million for animal charities.

This year’s categories include Young Animal Hero, for a young person who has built a strong relationship with animals or actively works to improve animal welfare, Inspirational Animal of the Year, for an animal who has inspired people with their spirit or courage, and Services to Wildlife, for an individual or group who has had an impact on the preservation and welfare of wildlife in Britain.

Tony Raeburn, CEO of Webbox (pictured above) said: “We are delighted to once again partner with the Animal Hero Awards in conjunction with the Mirror, People’s Postcode Lottery and charity partner, Battersea. Last year’s awards really opened our eyes to all the fantastic and often overlooked work that is being carried out and we’re certain that the 2019 nominations will be an emotional read.”

The star-studded ceremony on 30th September will include a host of famous faces who have attended in previous years, with Sir Patrick Stewart, John Cleese, Candice Brown, Paul O’Grady and many more expected to be there on the night.
