Hagen celebrates 40th anniversary of UK operation

To mark the 40th anniversary of Hagen opening its UK operation, staff went to work in Eighties-themed fancy dress.

The company, founded in Canada by German immigrant Rolf C. Hagen in 1955, set up in the UK on October 1982.

Hagen UK began its journey in Kirkstall, Leeds, but quickly outgrew its premises, moving to its current HQ in Castleford, West Yorkshire six years later

An Eighties-themed lunchtime event was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary with staff donning Eighties fancy dress.

Hagen UK’s managing director Adrian Burgess said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our staff getting in the spirit and a great time was had by all.

“The Hagen company, despite being a global pet brand powerhouse, is still family owned and family run and we see our staff as very much part of the extended Hagen family.

“Many of our staff have been with us since the Eighties and Nineties and we like to extend the family feeling to everything we do, from staff gatherings to the relationships with our amazing customers. Here’s to another 40 successful years.”
