Vet care provider appoints national medicine lead

Leading veterinary care provider IVC Evidensia has appointed Lucie Goodwin as its National Medicine Lead for the UK.

Lucie is an experienced referral clinician who will bring a wealth of experience to the business as a previous Director of Education for BSAVA. She is currently working clinically at Vale Vets & Referrals.

The introduction of this role complements the recent appointments of our national specialist leads in Cardiology, ECC and Surgery, respectively Stephen Collins, Daniel Lewis, John Williams and our Referral Nursing Strategy Lead, Arlene Connor.

In addition, alongside this strengthening of our referral leadership team, we intend to establish a Referral Board. As with our other boards, this will have clinician and nurse representation from across the full spectrum of our referral sites (specialist and AP led).

John Dinsdale, Country Medical Director, shared the following: “The establishment of this board will give a voice in shaping our strategy to those working day in day out across our hospitals bringing together colleagues from across our entire referral network and building relationships across the whole of our business.

“As Country Medical Director, the addition of this board to sit alongside our small animal, farm, equine and nursing boards, gives me complete confidence that we have the structure across all our areas of clinical service to develop and importantly deliver, the overall UK clinical strategy.”
