Beaphar video proves pets are family too

Beaphar is a pet healthcare manufacturer with a global reach but is a family business at heart, with three generations of the Aa family having been at the helm since the business started in 1942. Core to Beaphar is this sense of family, which has been the inspiration behind the strapline: ‘Because pets are family too’.

So confident is Beaphar in its strapline, that the company decided to put it to the test in a new video. Four families from four different European countries participated. In separate rooms the children were asked to draw a picture of their family, while their parents were asked to name all family members.

According to a 2016 GfK global survey, close to 6 out of 10 families have pets at home. Our furry, feathered and fishy friends bring so much to people’s lives without even trying, so the results of Beaphar’s simple question ‘who are the members of your family?’ should have been an easy one for everyone to answer.

As Beaphar’s video reveals, the answers from children and adults were very different, with all the children who took part being dismayed by their parents’ answers.
