Growing pet food firm searches for bigger premises

Yorkshire-based Pure Pet Food, which has grown an amazing 50% in March alone, is set to turnover in excess of 1.5 million this year, prompting a search for bigger premises in which to produce its award-winning products.

Pure has ambitious plans to change the pet food industry for the better and believes that its innovative and simple approach can help owners feed a fresh and low processed diet to their pets.

Mat Cockroft, who founded the company with friend Daniel Valdur Eha, said: "We understand that feeding a home prepared or raw diet is not always feasible for some owners both from a cost and time perspective.

"Our mission, as it has always been, is to make healthy choices as easy as possible for owners. After all why would you feed your dog something you wouldn’t eat yourself?

“The current pet food industry is largely based around using ingredients not fit for human consumption, processing them heavily and then displaying them in natural packaging to sell to an end consumer."

Dan added: “We are inundated with success stories and rather than any special or secret ingredients in our recipes it is more about what we haven’t added.

"All our ingredients are air dried, a really gentle food processing method, and our recipes contains no grains, corn, additives or any other nasties.

"Pure food is made with nothing but fresh meat, veg and fruit, this provides pets with the equivalent of a fresh home prepared meal."

Pure believes that just like humans, animals should be eating a diet that is as fresh and low processed as possible.

Mat and Dan have recently had a video and photoshoot detailing their story. You can view the video by clicking here or on the image below.
