Thief admits stealing £1,400 worth of dog leads and collars
Thief Lee Pemberton stole £1,400 worth of dog leads and collars from Pets at Home in Stoke-on-Trent. He was captured on CCTV taking 77 items from the Festival Park store.. The 38-year-old was captured on CCTV taking 77 items from Pets at Home before leaving the Festival Park branch. Magistrates heard 38-year-old Pemberton, of Wilton Court, Hanley, was spotted on cameras going around the store with another man on April 4.
Henry Skurdra, prosecuting, said: “The two males entered the premises and were essentially going around and taking the goods. “Following the review of CCTV by police, he was arrested and in his interview answered 'no comment'." However, during a hearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre, Pemberton admitted theft from a shop. Magistrates were told the value of the items was £1,415. Pemberton was due to be sentenced today (Thursday).
