PIF set to showcase UK pet industry at Interzoo

With less than one week to go until Interzoo 2026, the Pet Industry Federation is finalising preparations to support UK pet businesses at the world’s leading pet trade event.

The PIF team will be on Stand 9-429, where it will be showcasing UK exhibitors and highlighting a number of its members through a dedicated show reel on the stand.

Throughout the show, PIF will host a programme of informal “Meet the Expert” drop-in sessions, offering practical advice on key areas including legal and compliance, export and routes to market, marketing and growth and developments such as 2D barcodes. These sessions are free to attend and open to all visitors.

Following this week’s DEFRA update on the UK-EU SPS agreement, PIF expects strong interest from businesses looking to better understand future trading opportunities and regulatory developments between the UK and EU. Export and international trade support will therefore form a key part of PIF’s activity throughout the show.

PIF CEO Nigel Baker will also be speaking, delivering a talk at Interzoo on the Sourcing Stage on Wednesday 13 May, focusing on what businesses need to consider when importing into and exporting from the UK.

Visitors to the PIF stand will be able to access guidance, pick up resources and speak to the PIF team about opportunities in both the UK and international markets.

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO said: “Interzoo is always a great opportunity to see the strength and innovation of the UK pet sector on an international stage. We’re looking forward to supporting our members at the show and meeting businesses from across the industry.

"If you’re attending, do come and speak to the team about how PIF can support your business, whether you’re focused on the UK market or looking to grow internationally.”
