PAWD DRINKS lends support to National Dog Awareness Week

PAWD DRINKS is lending its support to the National Dog Awareness Week, a campaign by Royal Mail Group/CWU aimed at raising awareness of dog attacks on delivery workers.

There were 2,197 attacks by dogs on postal workers in the year ending 31st March 2025. If a dog attacks a postal worker, the owner can be prosecuted.

Research carried out by Guide Dogs and other organisations have estimated that a significant number of dogs in the UK suffer from anxiety; with some studies suggesting that up to 74% of dogs may display signs of it. This could mean that millions of dogs in the UK are experiencing anxiety, with some estimates indicating that nearly a million dogs are dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. This could in some instances lead to aggressive behaviour in dogs as well if they feel threatened or frightened.

One way to reduce anxiety and to keep a dog calm is to introduce calming supplements. Working with world-leading animal nutritionists, including Dr. Farshad Goodarzi Boroojeni, PAWD spent two and a half years developing a veterinary-approved, fast-acting liquid formula. PAWD Calming uses natural botanicals such as lemon balm (Melissa) and passionflower, which are known to calm the nervous system.

Because it is in liquid form, it is absorbed much more efficiently than traditional chews or pills.

Archie Wilson, who founded PAWD DRINKS with Rory Hanna said: “Customers regularly report visible results within just a few days, which is significantly faster than the one to three months typically needed for most natural products.”

PAWD also offer customers a complete support package.  Every PAWD subscriber receives additional care benefits, including:

24/7 veterinary support through Pawly Paws

Two months of free access to Virtue Vets, a holistic vet platform

Ongoing content and guidance from leading behaviour experts such as Sarah Jones (My Anxious Dog), Niki French, and Tom "That Dog Guy."

PAWD Calming can be purchased at all Pets Corner stores around the UK, online or on subscription.
