Tetra Wins Innovation Award for R&D
Tetra’s Research and Development department has been presented the “Innovation through Research” award by the Association for the Promotion of German Science and Humanities for the second time.

As the only aquatics company to win this achievement, the award recognises the outstanding work carried out by a highly qualified team of 20 in developing new solutions and driving the industry forwards.

Tetra, who originally won the award in 2014, took part in the annual survey by the German Association which analyses research efforts of companies across the country highlighting those who have made a substantial contribution.

Giuliano Buccino, Head of Marketing at Tetra comments: “We are delighted to receive this award for second time as it recognises how, over the years, our R&D department has helped us to break down barriers surrounding fishkeeping in order to open the hobby up to even more people. As a brand we are passionate about making fishkeeping easy, safe and more enjoyable than ever by providing innovative, simple solutions to our consumers.”

As the worldwide leader in aquatics, Tetra has over 65 years of experience and the largest, independently accredited R&D department in the industry allowing it to continuously create innovative products alongside revamping existing products to ensure constant improvement. Overall, Tetra has more than 700 aquariums and 50 garden ponds in its Biological Quality Assurance area and almost 200 active patents.
