Pet Trade Innovations is backing the exciting new community concept MorePaws, an app that is dedicated to helping dog owners build support networks and long-lasting friendships. 

Ry Webster got the inspiration for MorePaws after hearing his Mum’s concerns about walking their Poodle pup alone and how she struggled to connect with other dog owners in the area. He explained:

 “As a first-time dog owner, it can be overwhelming being out in a park on your own with a puppy, plus one in two women are cautious of walking alone*, so I created a community driven app that allows dog owners to connect, arrange group walks, share advice, even help each other with dog sitting.” 

Last year, just before the App was released and the website was starting to gain some traction,Ry entered MorePaws for a PIF (Pet Industry Federation) Award. He explained: 

“I met Steve Driver, MD at Pet Trade Innovations last year when MorePaws was nominated as a finalist for innovation of the year at the PIF awards. We got chatting after my presentation and he believed in the vision. Steve has been a great help as a mentor, introducing me to people in the industry and as someone to ask for advice. He has years of experience in the industry and running successful businesses.”

Steve Driver added: “When Ry approached me about investing into his business, I was astounded this wasn’t already available! I’m delighted to be part of this App and to be working with Ry, the ability to meet like-minded people in my area and go on group dog walks is an exciting prospect. It couldn’t be simpler for dog owners to set up their profiles and connect with their local canine community. As well as its live newsfeed, the MorePaws Interactive Map shows all the local dog friendly hospitality venues, trainers, groomers and vets nearby. The stand out ‘Create a group walk’ feature allows users to host walks on the map and chat to the attendees. 

With onboarded “MorePaws Guides” hosting monthly group walks, MorePaws is building community nationwide - all through walking the dog.!
