Independent pet shop wins Retailer of Year award

An independent pet shop in Devon has been named Retailer of the Year in a local business award competition.

The Lyn Valley Dog House in village of Lynton, picked up the honour at the North Devon Business Awards.

The business, run by Jacquie Dove, was praised for carving out a successful niche with visitors and locals with a number of entrepreneurial ideas, including the supply of treat boxes to dog-friendly hotels and guest houses.

Jacquie said she was honoured to receive the award and proud that it shone a light on Lynton and Lynmouth.
