In last week's edition of Pet Trade Xtra we stated that pet shop owner Gina Loxam's store was called Pampurred Pets – it should have been Pampered Pets. We're sorry for any confusion caused to PamPurredPets, who were not connected in any way to the story.

Gina, who is closing down Pampered Pets in Morecambe, said her decision had nothing to do with the internet, retail giants and supermarkets, as stated in the article.  It had everything to do with the recession and welfare cuts, said Gina.

"However, I've just heard that Pets at Home are opening a Morecambe branch soon so it could have affected my business," she added.
