Natures Menu wins legal battle against German firm
Natural pet food company Natures Menu has received a substantial amount of damages and court costs from a German company over trade mark infringements.
Finnern GMBH were accused of 'passing off' cat and dog foods under the Natures Menu trade mark, and when managing director Craig Taylor (pictured above) tried to contact the German firm he had no response.
"They thought they could use the Natures Menu trade mark without consulting us," he said.
“The German court had no hesitation to agree that our trade mark was being infringed and instructed Finnern to change their mark. We will go all the way to support our trading partners throughout Europe, and defend our brand and commercial interests.”
Finnern GMBH has stopped using the Natures Menu name and changed its packaging as well as paying six-figure damages and court costs.
