Amanda Holden to host Give a Pet a Home

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden will host new animal show Give a Pet a Home later this year.
She said: "I'm so delighted to be hosting this new series that will look into the amazing work the RSPCA do and hopefully we'll be able to find some much needed new homes for the pets featured on the show.
"I am just going to have to stop myself from taking them all home with me." The six-part series, filmed at Newbrook Farm Animal Centre in Birmingham, will see Amanda joined by a range of famous animal-lovers as they try to find new homes and families for mistreated and abandoned pets. Each episode will feature six animals needing to be re-homed, and viewers will have the option of applying for adoption on the ITV website - with successful applications appearing on the following week's show. Peter Davey, commissioning editor for ITV Entertainment, added: "We are thrilled to be working so closely with the RSPCA on this special project, where we will see abandoned animals being re-homed into the right environment." Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the RSPCA said it was "fantastic to be joining forces with ITV" as they hope to find animals "their perfect, forever homes".
