Plans for Pets at Home store in Suffolk
National retailer Pets at Home has submitted plans to open an outlet in Haycocks Road, Haverhill, Suffolk. The store would create up to 15 full time equivalent jobs . An application is due to be considered by St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s development control committee next Thursday. London Metric, which owns the site in Haycocks Road, submitted the application with support from Pets at Home, which is contractually committed to the scheme. Simon Meacock of landowner London Metric said: “We know that Pets at Home has been keen to come to Haverhill for some time, but because it needs a large unit suitable for bulky goods there has been nothing available in the town until now. “We are delighted to bring this opportunity to boost the town’s shopping offer. ”Pets at Home was voted ‘Best big company to work for’ in the 2013 Sunday Times Companies Awards and in 2010 was awarded Employer of the Year in trade magazine Retail Week’s annual awards,” he added.
