Retailers sniff out new POS display from Butch & Bess



Following a summer of anticipation from groomers and retailers alike, natural pet grooming product company Butch & Bess launched their new point of sale display at last weekend’s PATS Harrogate. 

The company, which manufactures a range of essential oil based grooming products, showcased their eye-catching point of sale display at this year’s trade event and took a significant amount of orders from a variety of pet professionals. 

Containing a range of 33 products worth £318 at retail value, the starter pack is available to all pet related businesses for just £80, offering trade professionals a significant 70% gross margin. Orders can be placed online, by phone, or by email.

“PATS Harrogate was a huge success for us. What’s better is that we received some substantial orders and really positive feedback for our new point of sale display,” explains Mark Hirschel, co-founder of Butch & Bess. 

“Artfully designed, our pack consists of twelve conditioning shampoos, nine pet perfumes, nine daily coat sprays, and three pet bed and car deodorisers. It’s an excellent option for those looking to sample our range of products for the first time, or for those who just know a good deal when they see one!”

Butch & Bess also launched its seasonal Christmas product - Santa Paws Festive Mists for Him and Her - in cheerful 250ml bottles. Pet businesses that pre-order the product by Monday 29 September will be able to achieve a gross margin of up to 70%, depending on the quantity ordered, with volume trade prices starting as low as £2.50.

Jo Amit, co-founder of Butch & Bess, adds: “Our seasonal product Santa Paws Festive Mists also generated a great deal of interest amongst groomers and retailers looking for Christmas product to resonate with their customers. Available in ‘Him’ and ‘Her’ varieties, the mists are made from a unique combination of essential oils to evoke joyful feelings of Christmas, while eliminating the smell of soggy doggy!”

In addition to their new point of sale and seasonal products, Butch & Bess’ White Label service also created interest with several businesses who wanted to create their own label but didn't know where to go for this.

“We received a number of enquiries about our white label service at PATS Harrogate. Our ability to create natural grooming products under a specific brand label has proved to be an attractive proposition for pet businesses of varying size,” adds Mark Hirschel.
