Burns opens new pet shop in Wales

Burns Pet Nutrition has opened a new shop called Burns@Pets Corner in Narberth, Pembrokeshire.

The premises were previously the Animal Kitchen pet shop and book store.

The new shop is managed by Richard Mattey, who runs the Carmarthen branch of Burns in the town’s market, and has created two jobs for sales assistants, both of who will benefit from the Living Wage, offered by Burns Pet Nutrition.

Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman Wynne Evans of Narberth declared the store open and the occasion welcomed a number of four-legged friends, including seven Italian Spinones with owner Babs Davies of Llandissilio.

John Burns said: “I’m really excited about our new pet shop in Narberth - my old stomping ground as a vet in this area in the 70s.

“Narberth is such a lovely and vibrant town and it will be a privilege to be part of that.”
