Dog food made by Blackburn company Goodwyns will now be more widely available across the UK after the manufacturer teamed up with Vital Pet Products.

Goodwyns makes premium dog food that is free from wheat, gluten and additives.

Julie Butcher, marketing manager at Goodwyns, said: "Goodwyns has really taken off in the last two years, as conscious consumers look for an alternative and natural feeding solution for their dogs.

"The best part of our partnership with Vital Pet Products, is that it coincides with the launch of our grain-free collection; which contains natural antioxidants and prebiotics which are not only more digestible but reduce the risk of food allergies."

Goodwyns' grain-free range – which will include chicken, sweet potato and sweetcorn treats – will launch in early 2015.
