Staff dress up as pet shop celebrates 40th birthday

Marion Boyd and her staff celebrated the 40th birthday of Marion’s Pet Shop & Dog Parlour in Middlesbrough by dressing up in animal onesies and having their faces painted.

They also held a raffle and gave out balloons to children.

“We are celebrating 40 years in business which is a rarity these days,” said Marion, who opened the shop in 1975.

“We also sold cupcakes in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance, who we have raised over £1,000 for over the years.”
