Innovative Canny Magloc goes from strength to strength

The designers of the innovative Canny Magloc, which allows dog owners to attach a lead using only one hand, are now working on other applications for the product within the aerospace, automotive and marine markets. A version for horses is also expected on the market in 2015.

The Canny Company was delighted to receive a PetQuip silver award for the Canny Magloc in the category of ‘Product Innovation of the Year 2014’.

The device, which has a quick and simple ‘point-and-click’ action clearly impressed the PetQuip judges with its simplicity, ingenuity and strength.

Sean McElherron, Canny Company Managing Director, said: “The Canny Magloc is an ingenious bit of kit and the reaction to it has been mainly one of amazement that something so small and light could be so strong.

"We’ve had great feedback from dog owners, rescue centres and charities such as Canine Partners, telling us how invaluable it is for dog owners of limited dexterity.

"Despite its weight, the Canny Magloc mechanism is made from a new type of polymer which is 30% glass-reinforced, meaning the device will withstand up to 65kg of pressure.”

The Canny Magloc retails for £9.95. For more information visit www.cannyco.com, call 01630 620462 or email info@cannyco.com.
