Free ‘Going Global’ workshop boosts packed PetQuip ‘export potential’ programme

A free workshop, entitled ‘Going Global’, will run alongside the latest in a series of successful meet-the-buyer events being organised by the Gardenex and PetQuip associations at Lea Marston Hotel, Sutton Coldfield on November 14.

The event is supported and funded by UK Trade & Investment, as part of its Export Week and in support of its ongoing joint export programme specifically for the gardening and leisure and pet product sectors in conjunction with Gardenex and PetQuip.

The content of the workshop, which is being held between the overseas buyer meetings, has been structured to provide all of the tools needed to reach new export markets or to expand existing international business.  Among the various topics will be overviews of the European markets for the garden and pet product sectors.

The overseas buyers travelling to the UK to meet with British suppliers will be:

Arboretum Lifestyle and Garden Centre – one of Ireland’s leading garden centres;

Allox – a Swedish importer/distributor of garden products;

Arett Sales Corporation – the leading US garden distributor/wholesaler, providing distribution to 20 NE US states:

Dubai Garden Centre – the premier garden retailer in Dubai;

Solfang – a Norwegian garden internet sales company;

TiendAnimal – Spain’s leading internet sales company for pet food and accessories;

Warmako – an importer/distributor of pet products based in the Netherlands.

Places in the workshop, sponsored by UKTI, are free of charge; a small administration fee will apply to companies registered to meet in one-to-one sessions with the overseas buyers.
