Taunton firefighters tackle blaze at Pets at Home
A large fire behind the Pets at Home store in Taunton was doused by firefighters on Sunday night.

The alarm was raised at 8.30pm on Sunday with reports that the building, at Priory Fields, could be on fire.

Fire crews found two containers behind the Pets at Home store were well alight. The flames were doused using a hose reel jet and a main jet.

The containers, which turned out to contain large quantities of cardboard, were then checked using a thermal imaging camera to check the fire was completely out.

A spokesman said: “There was also some slight damage to two external fan units on the building, these were isolated by the fire crews and a representative from the store attended.”
