Pet care suppliers encouraged to enter GIMA Awards
Pet product award sponsored by PetQuip

The GIMA 2013 Awards have been launched, and pet care companies are being encouraged to enter their most innovative products.

There are eight product categories, including one for pet care, aquatics and wild bird care products. These include animal health and husbandry products and toys, indoor aquatics and outdoor warter gardening products. The award is sponsored by PetQuip.

The GIMA Sword of Excellence is presented to the best of the winners from all eight product categories.

There are three marketing categories:

  • Best Point of Sale Material
  • Best Consumer Product Packaging (consumer packs only)
  • Best Marketing Communication Award

And two Special Achievement awards:
  • Export Achievement Award (sponsored by Gardenex)
  • Supplier of the Year Award (sponsored by The Garden Centre Association)

Solus Garden & Leisure won the Supplier of the Year category at the GIMA Awards in 2012. “It gave everyone, from our drivers to the office staff, a massive boost,” said Nick Davies.

“Winning the award was a combined team effort, and it is something we’re very proud of. We have used the accolade in a lot of our sales and marketing material because we felt it was important, and we wanted to tell people about it.”

The GIMA Awards will take place at a gala dinner on July 18 at The Queens in Leeds,
