Firefighters rescue man who got stuck up tree trying to rescue his trapped pet PARROT
Fire fighters had to rescue a panicked pet owner after he got stuck up a tree trying to rescue his pet PARROT.
Crews were scrambled to Green Lane in Hindley Green, Wigan, at around 2pm on Tuesday after the bizarre report of a man being unable to get down from the tree.
When they arrived, they found the 28-year-old had been trying to catch his pet parrot and was unable to climb back down.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the man - and his bird.
Both are understood to have escaped the ordeal uninjured.
Fortunately, the parrot did not require tweetment.
