Motorola's pet monitoring system proves a hit

The Scout 1 pet monitoring system from Motorola attracted a lot of interest at PATS Sandown, including recruitment specialist Lynda Ward, who has now bought one to keep an eye on her two Border Terriers.

Lynda is going to set up the system in her home so she can see her pet dogs - Bunny and Buffy - are behaving when she's away from the house.

"I really think this is an ingenious product," said Lynda. "I've now bought one because I want to find out what my dogs are doing when I'm not there. One of them chewed a piece of rug recently and I want to find out who's the culprit.

"However, now I've bought the Scout 1, I need to get a smart phone as well."

The Scout 1 is a Wi-Fi Video Pet Monitor Camera that allows you to check in on your pets when you are not able to be in the room with them.

You can access and control the camera remotely via a free, secure App for your computer, tablet or smartphone, and then you can watch live, record video and take snapshots with remote pan, tilt and digital zoom functions.

Lynda says she will keep us informed of how she's managing with the device.
