Xtra Dog introduces SmartLeash to the UK

Xtra Dog has introduced a new product to their range, the USA designed – SmartLeash.

The Leicestershire-based company sources the majority of their products from America and each item is chosen for its quality, durability and function. It also takes a very ethical stance making sure that all their products are kind to dogs.

SmartLeash is the first and only retractable leash that automatically stops a dog when he or she tries to suddenly run or lunge. It locks quickly, safely and automatically and stays locked as long as the dog has tension on the leash.

When a dog releases tension, SmartLeash resets instantly. There is also a manual lock as well as a self-locking system on the product, giving the dog owner flexibility to control their dog as they wish.

The Smartleash is made from relfective tape unlike other retractable leads which are often made from cord, so it offers higher visibility and is less likely to wrap itself around the dog’s legs causing an accident or injury to the dog. Medium and large models have a high-strength bungee attached to the clasp to absorb the normal stresses associated with walking your dog when the leash is locked.

The SmartLeash is available in three colours (red, blue and black) and in four sizes (small, medium, large and x-large). RRPs start from £29.95.
